Patrick M. Carpenter was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 16, 1953. He was admitted to the Iowa bar in 1980, and also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court and the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa.    Patrick graduated from Iowa State University in 1976 with a B.S. in Business/Economics.
